Bruce Michael Gordon Hurrell passed away peacefully on November 10, 2023 at the age of 78 at Groves Memorial Hospital. Bruce's departure has left a void in the lives of his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bruce was born on October 31, 1945 in St. John's, Newfoundland, to Amelia and Chesley Hurrell (predeceased). Bruce was a Father to Pamela Hurrell (Peter Linseman), Heather Hurrell, Chad Hurrell (Elizabeth Hurrell).  Poppy to Brock Linseman, Chelsea Linseman (Samantha Powell), Benjamin and Jacob Letwin, Amelia and Harrison Hurrell.  Great Grandfather to Finley Linseman. Brother to Bernice Churchill (Randolph), Georgina Parrell (Patrick predeceased), Anne Tulk (Terrance), Madonna Pynn (Thomas), Predeceased by Chesley Hurrell (Junior) and Bridgette.  Uncle and great uncle to many loved nieces and nephews.

In his early years, Bruce travelled across Canada, and then settled in Ontario, where he raised his family, and worked as a Milwright at Seagram's before retiring in 1991.  He was a hard-working, dedicated employee for over 25 years.

Outside of his professional life, Bruce was a devoted family man. His family often spent summers camping or going "back home" to St. John's for memorable visits.

In his free time, Bruce enjoyed farming, working on cars, woodworking or just tinkering on a project. His passion for woodworking was evident in the beautiful pieces he crafted.

Bruce always enjoyed a good joke, he had a great sense of humour and his laugh was contagious. Bruce leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, integrity, and kindness. While his physical presence will be deeply missed, his spirit will continue to guide and inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know him.

A celebration of Bruce's life will be held on December 2, 2023 from 2-5 p.m. at Pamela and Peter's in Belwood.  Please come to enjoy some stories and share in memories.

Bruce Michael Gordon Hurrell will forever be remembered as a remarkable individual who made a profound impact on the lives of others. May his soul find eternal peace, and may his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
