Fleming, Cameron George James
February 13, 1958 to February 1st 2023It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Cameron, at home, holding our hands and surrounded by love.
Cameron touched the hearts of all who were blessed to know him. He was a genuine, generous soul, fun loving and funny and endlessly caring. He had great love for his family and respect for his heritage; his interest in genealogy helped strengthen connections with cousins in England and Australia. Through his passion for photography Cameron documented our lives, moments big and small, leaving us a legacy of memories to cherish.
Predeceased by his parents George and Isabella Fleming (nee Stevely) natives of Scotland.
Devoted husband of Connie (nee Lang), his high school sweetheart and wife of 40 years. Beloved father of Lauren MacNabb (Alex) and Mackenzie Fleming (Alex). Adoring Grandad to Chloe. A dearly cherished brother of Sandra Barbour (Jeff), Scott (Allison) and Don (Alison) and brother-in-law of Sharon Morris, Christine Davies (Bruce) and Dianne Lang. Treasured by his Mother-in-law Carolyn Lang. Cameron will be greatly missed by his 13 nieces and nephews and their families, his Fleming and Stevely Aunts, Uncles and cousins and lovingly remembered by many lifelong friends.
Cameron was a long time supporter of Green Peace, Amnesty International and Canadian Blood Services, having donated 71 times.
We are endlessly grateful for the expert and compassionate care provided through the Hamilton Niagara Haldimand Brant LHIN including the Stedman Community Hospice, The Community Outreach Team and the Community Nurses and Personal Support Workers. Thank you to his employer Modatek and his coworkers for their support.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 11th, 2023 at 11am at Gateway Church in Caledonia, followed by an open house from 12 to 2 p.m.
