Whittaker, Dian Doreen
August 24, 1951 - January 28, 2025

Dian Doreen Whittaker (nee Dix) passed away peacefully with family by her side at Hospice Waterloo on Tuesday January 28th at the age of 73.  Lovingly remembered by her son Kevin (Shonalee), grandsons Korbyn and Braeden, daughter-in-law Christine, Erik (Jake), sisters Donna (Peter) and Linda (Greg).  Predeceased by her loving husband Bob (2019), son Ken (2024) and parents Ken (1986) and Doreen (1993) Dix.

Dian was a devoted mom/wife, compassionate friend and strategic business partner.  She had a love for good ol' country music, dancing, cards and especially for her grandson Korbyn.  The sparkle in her eyes made her shine.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and sincere thanks to everyone that helped support us through Dian's illness.  A special heartfelt thank you to Yvonne, Brandy, Glenda, Keith and Dian's Treatment Team for their unwavering care and attention trying to make her comfortable during her final days.

Please join us to share in her Celebration of Life on Wednesday February 5th from 1:30 to 4:00 at the Royal Canadian Legion, 500 Blair St., Fergus. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to Karis Disability Services, Hospice Waterloo or Groves Memorial Hospital.

Dian will be deeply missed and her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

If Not For You

In this life, when all was new

The world was against me, if not for you

Years as they passed, my troubles they grew

Would have I survived it, if not for you

We worked as a family, and time it flew

Through thick and the thin, we always had you

A voice full of reason, financially shrewd

We would have nothing, if not for you

With help and your guidance, my path became true

I wouldn't the courage, if not for you

We loved and we lost, as many must do

But through it all, we always had you

And now in the end, for what I must do

Could I have the strength, if not for you

I love you, Mom
Kevin
