Carter, Dorothy Maud
December 12, 1926 - February 21, 2021

Dorothy Maud Carter’s family is saddened to announce that they have said good bye to their mother.  Maudy has been a long standing resident at Trinity and it’s second oldest resident.

Maudy was a young nurse in London, England during the Second World War and saw atrocities during the bombings which only strengthened her to move forward the rest of her life with great resolve and commitment to make the world a better place. She leaves behind her daughter Julia, son Peter, daughter in law Ann and will join her 3 sons Derrick, Michael and Raymond who predeceased her.

Over the many years at Trinity, Maudy was extremely active in various activities including the Social Committee, Bingo, was a Trinity Board representative......and if you needed after hours medical help, she was always available at all hours......housecoat and stethoscope in hand!

Her last few weeks on earth identified an aggressive spreading cancer and the family found solace that her remaining time on earth did not linger.

Maudy loved the community at Trinity and all of its members across the board and found spirituality as a member of the church next door.

As much as her family will miss her, they are comforted that she had a full life at 94 years of age and that her time had come to join the rest of her family whom she worshipped, adored and greatly missed.

It is with great respect that the family would like to thank all the members (too numerous to mention) of the Trinity community for the many years they embraced, comforted and allowed her to thrive.

During these unusual and difficult times we wish everyone continued safety and a return to normalcy in the future.
