October 28, 1954 - October 30, 2024It’s with great sadness that we share news of John’s passing, quietly on October 30th at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton.
Predeceased by his parents, Veronica Clara Tracey and Gordon Monroe Hay, John grew up in Thorold and worked at GM in ST. Catharines for many years.
After retirement he volunteered at the Grimsby Benevolent Fund where he is fondly remembered as a kind gentle man who lived life through his deep faith.
He will be sorely missed by his four sisters, Nancy Young of Pleasantville Nova Scotia, Margaret Hay - Hamilton Ontario, Donna Scholich - Toronto, Ontario and Connie White - Sarnia Ontario, as well as many dear friends in the Grimsby area.
John made an impact on the staff at St. Peter’s as well where he lived his final months. It was there he peacefully passed in the company of family and friends.
