May 25, 1985 - July 1, 2023Jon (Jonathan) David Docker aged 38 of Cambridge, Ontario passed away suddenly on July 1st, 2023. His family is deeply saddened by his sudden death.
Jon was born on May 25th, 1985, to Vanessa Mary Docker (Née Kent) and Jim (James) Spencer Docker in North York, Ontario, and was the fourth of five siblings.
Jon started his Industrial Electrician apprenticeship at Linamar Corporation in Guelph, Ontario and completed it at Ionic Automation in Cambridge, Ontario. His most recent position found him moving up the ranks from a Maintenance Supervisor to a Maintenance Superintendent at AGS Automation in Cambridge, Ontario. Jon is sadly missed by his co-workers and crew, who knew they could always count on Jon to get the job done in a fair and just manner. Jon cared deeply for each and every member of his crew. He also enjoyed keeping things light and humorous whenever appropriate.
In 2015, Jon met Angela Hare in Guelph, Ontario. They bought a home together one year later. Their time together brought them both joy and serenity. Jon was a proud parent to William (Billy) and Aidan. Most didn’t realize he was a step-parent, as he was so well-rooted in the family life. Jon will be sadly missed by his immediate family, including their two dogs and three cats.
Jon is survived by his parents, Jim and Vanessa, as well as his siblings Nicolas (Sarah), Edward (Annemarie), James (Allison), and Katherine (Scott). He loved his nieces and nephews greatly. Jon’s kind and thoughtful nature will be missed by his family, as well as his uncanny sense of humour.
Services will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 272 at 26 Schofield Street, Cambridge, Ontario on Saturday, August 26th, 2023 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your local Humane Society, an organization Jon felt strongly about.
