Joyce Margaret Thompson, age 87, passed away peacefully February 11, 2021. She was born December 16, 1933 in Greenfield Park, Quebec, the youngest daughter of Eddy and Cecilia Smitheman (nee Millway).
On September 26, 1952 she married her sweetheart Ken Thompson and raised six children. Joyce will be greatly missed by her husband Ken, daughters Linda Lord (Danny), Penny Norkett (Glenn) and sons Randy (Marie-Claude), Neil (Karen), Mark (Sherri). Grandchildren Susan, Kenneth, Steven, James, Melanie, Catherine, Robyn, Christopher, Kyle, Amy, Laura, Sarah, Ariel, Morgan and Jarad and great grandchildren Erika, Bryan, Sean, Vanessa, Yannick, Hailey, Sofia, Jillian and Levi. Predeceased by daughter Sherry Mercier, brothers Henry, Daniel and Leslie, sisters Ella, Pat, Rita, Bea, and Trudy.
Joyce enjoyed spending time with her family, over the years bowling, square dancing, cross country skiing, biking and camping. She also enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening and feeding the squirrels and birds in the yard.
We will miss her humour, smiles and laughter.
