Joyce Pauline Van Delinder (nee Sakalo) passed away at Hospice Wellington at approximately 2:00am on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at the age of 84 years.

Joyce is survived by her loving husband Jim of 64 years. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughters Lori White and husband Greg, Sandra Field and Janice Vodden & husband Paul (both deceased). She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren Angie, Michelle, Ryan, Kevin, Emily, Michael and her eleven great-grandchildren.
Joyce was born in Windsor, ON to Walter & Nada Sakalo (deceased) and is survived by Walter & Carol Sakalo and family (brother) and Susan & Tom and family (sister) - previously deceased Nancy & Kevin Noonan (sister) and Daniel Sakalo (brother).

Joyce lived with her husband Jim and together they raised their 3 daughters in Georgetown prior to moving to Guelph. She worked as a Realtor for a number of years and in that time she developed many great friendships with both her clients and colleagues.

A special "Thank You" to the extraordinary staff at Wellington Hospice for their kindness and compassionate care during her final hours. Sincere appreciation to all staff at The Village of Arbour Trails, Guelph and Dr. Mandeep Deol who assisted and provided companionship, care and flexibility as Joyce's health declined.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson Society or MS Society would be greatly appreciated. A Celebration of Life is planned for a later date.

“Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories.”
