Kehl, Doug
Kehl, Douglas Ross
January 25, 1960 – March 20, 2024Our brother Doug passed away suddenly on March 20th 2024, born on January 25, 1960. Son of Ross (2010) and Stella (2016). Dear brother to Janet (Brad) of Cambridge and also to Alan and Wayne of Conestogo.
He was a very gifted artist, graphic designer and always showed a passion for landscape design. People were always in awe of the beautiful properties that he kept and the well executed flower beds and gardens. Many a times you would find Doug in his element, with a smoke in tote, pulling weeds, riding tractors or operating lawn equipment. Just general puttering and that was his moment of Zen.
While working at J.M. Schneider’s, we always joked that a piece of white cardboard and a black marker in his hand, this became his easel for his drawing talent, that often lead to him getting in trouble, even though it brought a laugh to most. He went on to work at Franklin Covey and then ProMinent, where he put his true talent to a more useful purpose.
He also liked cars, mostly classic vehicles, for the exceptional interior comfort and lines of design. It was all about the luxury ride. Of course Doug had many unique thoughts and out looks on life that only those who knew him, can attest to.
In his wish, cremation has taken place. Doug will be interned along side of our parents, in a private ceremony in St Mathews Lutheran Cemetery, Conestogo.
Those who wish to donate in Doug’s memory can do so to the charity or cause of your choice or to St Mathews Lutheran Church Building Fund.
