Isaak, Siglinde

Isaak, Siglinde Elisabet
December 31, 1952 – August 3, 2024

It’s with deep sadness that we share the quiet passing of Siglinde “Sigi” Isaak on August 3, 2024. Born in K.W, she was the daughter of German immigrants Jakob Isaak and Welda Woelk. In her youth she attended Sunday School at WK Mennonite Church and attended Alexandra P.S and WCI where she enjoyed track, volleyball and basketball.

After graduating from the University of Guelph with a degree in Microbiology, Sigi worked in a lab and then later in insurance until she retired. The fact that she had rheumatoid arthritis since the age of 23 never slowed her down, not even from climbing at Zermatt, the Jungfrau and Les Diableretes in Switzerland and France.

Sigi’s overwhelming passion for decades was running Ziggy’s Cat Rescue and rescuing animals.

She is survived by her sister Arline and nephew Tim Larson and we would like to extend a special thank you to all of her health professionals.

Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of her life will be planned for a later date. In honour of Ziggy, please help animals in need and spay and neuter your pets.
