Degli Angeli, Antonio (Tony)
September 29, 1950 - December 21, 2024It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Antonio (Tony) Degli Angeli, at the age of 74, at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington, Ontario on December 21, 2024.
Tony was born on September 29, 1950 in the town of Grimaldi, province of Cosenza, in the southern region of Calabria Italy.
Tony came to Canada in 1969 where he met and married his wife Vera in 1973. They had three children, Mark, Michael and Liza. For over 30 + years, Tony worked for CP Airlines, Canadian Airlines and later Air Canada where he retired in 2006. Tony loved his vegetable garden, and could always be found tending to and harvesting vegetables in the summer. He enjoyed making homemade wine and tomato sauce and he considered himself a jack of all trades on the many home renovations he undertook. He most enjoyed the company of family and friends, sharing stories, jokes and good food.
Tony is survived by his wife of 51 years, Vera, daughter Liza, son Mark (Sandra) and four grandchildren Matteo, Luca, Max and Bella. Predeceased by his son Michael and his mother Esterina. Tony is missed by his sister Rita; his nieces Sabrina, Daniela, Elena and their families in Italy.

There will be no formal funeral service for Tony at this time. We invite family and friends to share any memories or stories here. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation, Jospeh Brant Hospital or Hamilton General Hospital.
