April 29, 1972 - July 19, 2022
Vicki Marie Bruinsma, age 50, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 19th, 2022. Vicki is survived by her loving family: her husband, Randy Anderson and her children, Carly Anderson and Tyler Anderson, her father, Charlie Bruinsma and her siblings, Kim Mason (Brian), Mike Bruinsma (Dana) and Shawn Bruinsma (Laura). Also survived by Ramona Feagan (Scott), Ricky Anderson (Doreen) and Roseanne Young. Vicki was a special aunt to her many nieces and nephews. She will also be greatly missed by her dear friends. She is pre-deceased by her mother, Lynda Bruinsma (Green).Vicki was born and raised in Goderich, Ontario and moved with her family to Stratford in 2003. She had a passion for animals, caring for her sweet pets and riding horses. She enjoyed biking, travelling, exploring new places and was generally ready for any adventure. Vicki made friends wherever she went. She was outspoken but kind, fun and energetic, often telling stories with her charming sarcasm and infectious laughter. Vicki inspired us all to live life to the fullest, to be positive, accepting and strong amidst every challenge. She was ready for this next step and led us through her last days with bravery, integrity, strength and beauty that her family will admire and remember forever.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life at the Army Navy at 151 Lorne Ave, Stratford, Ontario on Saturday, July 23rd, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Special words will be spoken by the family at 2:00 pm. A light lunch will be provided with a cash bar. Please come wearing something bright, not dark, to reflect Vicki’s vibrant personality and honour her final wishes.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated, in Vicki’s memory, to the Stratford Perth Humane Society or Sari Therapeutic Riding.
