June 3, 1942- March 30, 2024It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Barry David Parker of Guelph, Ontario on Saturday March 30, 2024, at Guelph General Hospital in is 82nd year.
Barry was a cherished father to his three daughters, Pam, Gillian and Meaghan (Rob), Barry was a proud grandfather to nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Rodney and survived by his sister, Sheila.
Barry was born June 3, 1942, in wartime England and immigrated to Canada in 1951, Barry was an avid car lover and backpacked through Europe and Ireland as well as Canada's east coast. Later he became a member of the comedy team Suns of Beaches. He fell in love with the game of lawn bowling and was an active member of the Kitchener Heritage Greens Lawn Bowling Club during the summer months and coordinated many months of indoor lawn bowling during the winter months.
Cremation by Passages Cremation & Burial. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or Arthritis Society.
A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday June 2nd at the Shakespeare Arms located in Guelph from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
