Briand, Carol Ann
August 7, 1951 - May 3, 2022

Briand, Carol Ann (née Bowden), Born Aug 7, 1951 in Montreal, Quebec passed away peaceful in hospital on Tuesday May 3, 2022 in her 71st year.

Carol is lovingly remembered by her son Thomas Briand and his fiancé Misty Wynne, daughter Tara Cordeiro (nee Briand) her husband Michael Cordeiro, along with her 4 incredible sisters: Barbara Penrice, Beverly Bowden McNeil, Deborah Bowden-Jones & Christine Bowden. Carol is also remembered and will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Mila Rose, Melayna, Oliver and her newest addition Melody Carol Ann Briand. Carol will be forever remembered as the “cool aunt”, the one with the” infectious laugh” and the best sense of humor. Carol will be cherished by her many nieces and will be missed by her friends, colleagues and peers.

Last but not least, Carol was also the faithful companion to her fur baby Maggie for the last 15 years. After almost 2 months apart, we were thankful mom was able to say her final goodbyes in the hospital, and for that we are grateful. Maggie will now be cared for by Thomas and Misty, who will love her as much as mom did.

Carol will be fondly remembered by the incredible team that she was a part of at DENNINGERS in Burlington for the last 10 years. While in hospital she often asked us to read her the card from her work including more than 50 signatures from her friends and colleagues. We were often told how incredible of a salesperson my mom was, always wanting to try a new pairing and sharing her cooking tips to anyone that needed or asked. This incredible passion for cooking and baking has been passed down to her children and to her family. Carol loved you by how she fed you, how she celebrated you and how she showed up for you. She honoured traditions and loved her family fiercely.

Carol loved to cook, bake, garden, travel, listen to music, movies and spending time with Maggie. Carol’s career enabled her to travel all over the world from Germany, Amsterdam, Chicago, Las Vegas, Atlanta, NYC, Bahamas, Jamaica and many more places in between. Along the way collecting memories to enjoy and share.

We will miss her every day, but we will carry her memory with us forever.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the CANADIAN CANCER SOCIETY would be welcomed in her loving memory.

Special thanks to all our family and friends who came by to visit, shared with us kind words or a cherished memory. We are surrounded by love and know our mom felt that love every day.

Mom - Your life was a blessing your memory a treasure… You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
