Livingstone, Christopher John
July 8, 1970 - March 7, 2025It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Christopher John Livingstone on Friday March 7 2025, at Guelph General Hospital, with family and friends by his side. Chris was the most loving son of John Livingstone and Elizabeth Livingstone. A wonderful brother to Andrew(Fran) and Gillian Livingstone, loving uncle to Michael and David, an amazing and fun-loving nephew, and a great friend to many.
Chris had an amazing joy for life. After completing his education starting at Nelson High School, then Wilfred Laurier and finally Lakehead. He chose to become a teacher and coach, having the opportunity to travel the world. He taught in the UK and UAE. Eventually Chris came home to Canada where he finished his teaching career for grades 7&8 at the Peel Regional School Board.
He loved being a teacher and coach. He cared deeply about his students and co-workers, and would often share funny stories from work and how proud he was of his students.
Chris adored his friends. He loved basketball, being nicknamed “THE DOC” or “BONES”, because his skills were unmatched on the courts! He was a highly talented athlete, being team captain of the Laurier Hawks and receiving numerous articles in the newspaper highlighting his career. He loved fishing, football, golf, and watching all kinds of sports and news updates about his favourite teams.
He has left us a lifetime of memories and stories to pass onto others.
At Chris’s request there will be no visitation or service. We will forever be grateful to our family and friends who have surrounded us with love and support.
