Clark, Debra
Clark, Debra Marie
February 12, 1952 - February 2, 2022With heavy hearts we would like to share that Debra (Deb) - Loving Wife, Soulmate, Best Friend, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Niece, Aunt, and Friend passed away after an 8 year battle with cancer. Predeceased by her Sister Diann Martin (Alex), Debra will be forever loved and remembered with the most loving memories of their 49 years together by her husband James Clark.
Loving Mother to Tammy Wray (Paul) of Bracebridge, Patty Clark of Gravenhurst, and Jennifer Clark Guelph; she will be fondly remembered by her grandchildren James Wray, Jeffery Butler, Kellie-Anne Butler, Skylar Clark-Clements, George Clements and great grandson Isaiah Wray.
Deb was a Crossing Guard for the town of Bracebridge, when in 1994 she suffered a slip and fall accident at work damaging her ankle. It never healed properly. Every doctor she saw said there was nothing anyone could do for her. In 1996, both the town of Bracebridge and WSIB abandoned her while she was in a great deal of pain. Following a move to Fergus in 2003, a new doctor that told her it could be fixed, which led her to the Toronto Western Hospital and Dr. Johnny Lau who performed the first of three operations. The last operation was in 2011 and finally Deb was pain free, but only for 2 years before the Cancer struck.
On behalf of the Clark family we would like to thank Dr. Robert Fewster, (family Dr). Dr Lua R Eiriksson at Juravinski Cancer Centre, and all the wonderful Nurses and staff that took care of her over the years, and to the Nurses and PSW’s that came to our home to help out with her, and to Hospice Wellington for making her comfortable in her final hours.
