GROOME, Eloe (nee Jensen)
March 15, 1920 to November 30, 2023In loving memory of Eloe Groome who passed away peacefully at Caressant Care Nursing Home Thursday November 30, 2023 at the age of 103 years old. Eloe lived a full and long life.
Predeceased by both Parents Niels and Anna Jensen (Sorenson) both from Denmark, her 7 brothers - William, Henry, Graven, Norman, Raymond, Edward and Roger, her 3 sisters – Ester, Edith and Erma. Eloe was also predeceased by her 1st husband Gaetan Paquette (1970) and 2nd husband Raymond Groome (1991).
Survived and cherished by her two daughters - Karen Lauder (Stewart) and Gaye Byers (John), as well as 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Eloe leaves behind a century plus legacy of warmth, compassion, generosity and love. Remembered for her deep faith and profound love for all 5 generations of her family - She will be truly missed.
Eloe’s final resting place will be at the Tillsonburg Cemetery in the Town of Tillsonburg, with her Mom, Dad and sister Erma.
A special thanks to all the wonderful staff at Caressant Care Nursing Home Woodstock who took such good care of her for the last 5 1/2 years.
