Watson, George Samuel
October 8, 1932 - May 7, 2022

George Samuel Watson passed away peacefully in Toronto on Saturday, May 7th, 2022 at the age of 89 years. Predeceased by his beloved wife Audrey McClure and sisters June Drysdale and Marlene Dickson. Brother to Kay (Ron) Coates, Noreen (Rick) Laurie, Jim (Audrey) Blacklock, and Rob (Sylvia) Blacklock and uncle to Ron(predeceased)(Rose) Drysdale,Rena (Dave) Edwards, Don (Lynda) Drysdale, Harry Drysdale, Cathy (Richard) Jackson, Roy Dickson, Karen Dickson, Gord (Laurie) Dickson and Michelle Dickson, and dear friend, Debbie Cappelletti. George will be lovingly missed by all.

George will be forever remembered for his polished look, dressed to perfection in his finely pressed suits and ties with his fedoras and pocket watches, lapel pins and always shined shoes. He was always the best dressed man in the crowd.

Many people that knew George would refer to him as Santa, not just because of his rosy cheeks and white beard, but because of his giving nature. He was a man that loved everything and everyone and trusted that all people were kind and good. He was known for his abundance of generosity, kind heart and selflessness, and would give or help anyone whether they were close to him or a perfect stranger. Even if he had nothing, he always found something to offer.

He loved telling stories, recollecting his days of working at Massy Fergeson and the Parkdale Theatre and the adventures he had as a young lad with that forever Irish spirit that he always carried with him.

George was a devoted husband to his wife Audrey and had such care and love for his sisters June and Marlene. They are joined again. George will be sadly missed by all that were blessed to be acquainted with him.

May he rest in eternal peace.
