January 13, 1941 - December 8, 2024John Watson, age 83, of Waterloo, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2024, at Freeport Hospital in Kitchener. He was a supportive and loving husband, father, friend and neighbour, known by all as someone who was always there to lend a helping hand.
John will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary; daughter Kelly and son-in-law Brock; son Barry and daughter-in-law Kirsten; sister Wilma; as well as his two grand-dogs, Piper and Pimm, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Mary, and his younger sister Rilla.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses at Freeport Hospital’s Complex Care unit for their kind and compassionate care.
In keeping with John’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. The family invites you to privately celebrate his memory in your own ways, knowing that he will be with us all in spirit.
If you would like to make a donation in his memory, the family kindly suggests contributions be made to the Continuum of Care program at the Grand River Hospital Foundation or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
