December 9, 1956 - December 16, 2024In Loving Memory of Iraj Gorjizadeh
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Iraj Gorjizadeh, which occurred on Monday, December 16, 2024. Born in Iran on December 9, 1956, he was the son of Gheidafeh (Habibi) Gorjizadeh and the late Shokrollah Gorjizadeh. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his sister, Shabab Gorjizadeh, and his brother, Changiz Gorjizadeh.Iraj was a loving father and a dedicated husband to his wife, Kobra Amiri. He arrived in Saint John, New Brunswick, on November 14, 1989, with Kobra and their 1-year-old daughter, Parnian.
Iraj will be greatly remembered by all who knew and loved him. He loved people from all walks of life. He was exceptionally kind, a great listener, and was always there for others. His presence brought warmth and comfort to everyone he met, and his legacy of compassion and understanding will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Kobra Amiri, his son Alborz Gorjizadeh, and his daughter Parnian Gorjizadeh. He is also survived by his brother Gholam and his wife Parisa, his sisters Tooran, Pouran, Mahnaz, Mehrnaz, Shekoofeh, and Nooshin, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, December 22, 2024, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Royal Botanical Gardens Rock Garden Visitor Centre, located at 1185 York Boulevard, Hamilton, Ontario.
