Williams, June
Williams, June Margaret
June 4, 1961 - October 17, 2023On October 17, 2023 June Margaret Williams (nee Stevenson) was taken too soon, in her 63rd year after a short but difficult battle with cancer. The last five months have been a rollercoaster of emotions for her family, but now the ride has come to its end. Although our hearts are heavy, a weight has been lifted.
Loving wife of 45 years to John Williams, beloved mother to Angela (Justin), George (Brette), Megan (Tyler), and Kimberly. Grandmother to Emelynn, Chase, Elle, Jacob, Jesse and Jenna. She also leaves behind her brother Jamie Stevenson and sister in law Jean Stevenson. She was pre deceased by her parents Margaret(nee Thompson) and George Firth, her sister Cindy Stevenson and brother Donny Firth.
June was born in Trenton, Ontario and raised near Torbay, Newfoundland. Falling in love with John and getting married in Newfoundland, she later returned to the Hamilton Ontario area to settle and raise her family. After many years as a stay at home mom, June began her work career at Sears in the marketing department. She transitioned from the phones to Human Resources giving her the opportunity to gain a close knit group of friends along with the many casual friendships of those who admired her. After about 15 years Sears closed their doors but these friendships remained. Truly life long friends, as many of them came to stay and be with her as her struggles and last days came.
June will be remembered for many of her passions. Her love of unicorns, collection of Coca Cola trinkets, party planning, dinner parties and her immense love of Christmas, but most of all spending time with her family.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday October 28, 2023 at the Glanbrook Arena Recreational Centre at 1pm to 6pm. Special thanks to the Juravanski Cancer Centre and home care Nurses especially Linda.
The world changes from year to year, our lives from day to day, but the love and memory of you will never pass away. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal.
