Thomson, Mary (nee Hewitson)
February 28, 1958 – February 8, 2025Mary passed away peacefully on February 8, 2025 at Joseph Brant Hospital in Burlington Ontario surrounded by her loving family. She was 66 years old.
Mary was born February 28, 1958 to George and Pearl Hewitson. She was the youngest of 5 children. Predeceased by sisters Bonnie and Penny, survived by brother Ed (Cheryl) of Brantford.
Mary was a sister, a daughter, an aunt but best of all she was a wife of 44 and a half years to Rick and a devoted mother to Lindsey (CJ) and Jennifer (RJ). She was a loving Grandma to Bobbie and Austin whom she adored.
Mary loved being a Trainer/Manager in the Flamborough Girls Hockey League . She cared for everyone around her. Mary Loved to travel to Banff and Jasper, most of all she loved to travel to Hawaii and the Caribbean with her favourite traveling companions niece Leslie and her husband Gary Elliott. She loved her flowers in the summer and family get togethers anytime she could put one together. She loved anything involving medicine and excelled at her work at St George Medical Centre in Milton.
Mary’s family would like to thank her medical team, Dr Nathalie Desbois, Dr Patrick Kilorn, Dr Joe Burlingieri, Dr Anand Swaminath for your exceptional care and understanding. You all were a godsend for us.
