September 30, 1961- February 22, 2022It is with profound sadness that we announce the loss of Michael Booth after a short and courageous battle with ALS. Mike passed away peacefully surrounded by his boys Cameron (Sara) Colin (Leah) & Keegan and his wife Kim who adored him and miss him dearly and his mother in law Karen. He was loved by his sister Julie, Don and brother in law Scott , nieces and nephews, mother in law Karen and father in law Gary and his mother Patricia. Predeceased by his father John Booth.
Mike was a quiet and kind soul with a wicked sense of humor. He was always the first to give his time to coach his boys and gave many years coaching for the Guelph Regal lacrosse Club and Guelph Minor Hockey and it was here that he made life long friendships. He was the king of 1 liners. “Happy Wife, Happy life” and he did his best to honor that one as Kim will treasure their memories of 32 years of marriage together.
He lived for his boys and through his boys and loved them fiercely. He loved to travel to Cuba and Dominican and he loved to drink beer.
Cremation has taken place. Mike specifically requested that there be no funeral or celebration of life. Family gathered to give a toast and share some memories . He will be greatly missed by Family and Friends.
In Remembrance of Mike’s life, the family asks that any charitable donations be made to the ALS society of Canada.
