Duff, Millicent
January 14, 1936 - June 4, 2024Millicent Duff (nee Oxford) passed away peacefully in hospital on June 4th having been surrounded by the love of her family in her final months.
Millicent was born and lovingly raised in Corner Brook NFLD along with her 2 sisters and 5 brothers. She permanently moved to Ontario in 1963 where she met and married her husband Jim in 1968. She and Jim were the ever gracious hosts to visiting family and they remained happy together for 42 years until his passing in 2010.
Her family and friends will remember her as loving, generous, intelligent and quick witted. Millicent always remembered birthdays where her loved ones would receive an early morning wake-up call of her special rendition of Happy Birthday.
Millicent is survived by her brother Junior and countless nieces, nephews and relatives.
Millicent’s family extend their thanks to the palliative team at St Joseph's Health Centre for the wonderful care and comfort they provided her during her time there.
As per Millicent’s wishes, there will not be a funeral. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Huntington Society of Canada are appreciated.
We love you and will miss you terribly and we know that ham sandwiches are being passed around in heaven ..."It is what it is"
