Silcox, Nancy

Silcox, Nancy Lou (nee Abel)
April 7, 1937 to June 21, 2021.

Silcox, Nancy Lou (nee Abel) – died peacefully on June 21, 2021. She was born April 7, 1937 in London Ontario and was the daughter of Hilton and Rita Abel (Clemas).

Nancy was predeceased by her loving husband, Douglas Silcox. She is survived by her three children; Monique Atherton and her partner James; Paul Silcox and his Partner Lili; and Lisa Silcox. Her seven grandchildren, Sean, Devon and her partner Chris, Arden and her partner Lloyd, Nolan, Georgina, Lauryn, and Quinten will miss her dearly. Nancy is also survived by her sister Sharon Little, and her nephews Graham, Michael, and his partner Michele. She so appreciated her friendships with those she considered family – Rolande, John Deitchman, and Troy Harris.

Nancy was true to herself and her interests all her life. She mastered parenting, baking, upholstery, woodwork, oil painting, and decorating. She cared for, rescued, and adored countless creatures – no matter how inconvenient. She ran a successful and much beloved jewellery store for over 30 years at the Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls; the store and her friends there became a second home to her. Nancy both found, and brought, joy to all her pursuits and relationships. She will be lovingly remembered by her family, friends, and everyone whose life she touched.

In lieu of flowers or donations, Nancy has requested that you look after all dogs and cats, and be kind to each other.
