October 5, 1940 – November 23, 2023Winfried Hermann Josef Wimmershoff, 83 years of age, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at his home in Cambridge, Ontario.
Pre-deceased by his son Winfried Karl Heinz Wimmershoff, he is survived by his loving wife Monika; his daughter Gabriella Anna Wimmershoff-Korez, her husband Gorazd and son Seth Andrew Michael Wimmershoff; daughter Carolin Jane Pilkington and son Alexander Benjamin Donisi; stepson Wayne Robert Goring and wife Sandra and their children Matthew Ernest, Sarah Emma and Adam Robert Sidney; stepson Gregory James Goring and wife Patricia and their children Brendan Hamilton and Brianna Nicole.
Winfried was born October 5, 1940, in Koln, Germany to the late Fritz and Anni Wimmershoff. He was the oldest of three boys, Manfred and Alexander being his younger brothers.
Winfried married Monika Goring on July 17, 1983, in Toronto, Ontario. He went to school in his hometown of Koln, Germany. He worked as a Tool & Die Maker for multiple companies, lastly being the Boeing Company in Mississauga, Ontario. He was very creative and enjoyed making wind chimes in his spare time and making gadgets used around the house. He enjoyed keeping up on current events.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and he asked that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to The Canadian Cancer Society.
It was requested that there be no service.
