February 8, 1936 - July 22, 2023It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Margaret Wood who died peacefully with family by her side in Allendale LTC on July 22, 2023, at the age of 87 years. Predeceased by her husband Frank, Margaret is lovingly remembered by her children Susan, Paul and Ian, her son-in-law Donald, and her grandchildren Tyler and Ryan. The family would also like to thank those close friends who share in our grief, and who have provided great support throughout our mother’s illness.
Born in Yorkshire England, Margaret married her husband Frank and began a family before immigrating to Canada in 1966. Upon Franks passing in 1978 she began working at Surroundings Gallery and continued to raise her family. Following her retirement, she liked to spend time volunteering at the church and enjoying the company of her friends. Margret will be remembered for her infectious laugh and her generosity of spirit.
The Funeral will be held on August 1st, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church, 1415 Trafalgar Rd, Oakville. Services will commence at 11:00am with condolences and reminiscences beginning 2 hours prior, and a reception to be held at the church following the service. Flowers may be sent to the church prior to the proceedings, on the day of the funeral.
