Ruth was a strong, independent woman who was loved and treasured by her family and friends. She was a woman of integrity, honesty, and empathy – always willing to help others and pray when she couldn’t help – by calling upon the “angels to surround you”.
She raised her children to love God and to treat others the way you wanted to be treated. She never allowed her children to feel sorry for themselves and when life threw a curve ball, she would say - “pull up your socks and figure out what you’re going to do” – in this she led by example. But she was always there with words of praise and encouragement. She loved to laugh, she loved music and dancing, and she loved sweets! Always room for a second helping of dessert!
Mum adored her parents, her brothers, her sister, and their families. Family was always the most important thing to Ruth.
She was also a lover of animals and never without a pet. She leaves behind her dog Hudson and her cat Katie.
For the past few years Ruth suffered from Dementia and all the facets that accompany this terrible disease – we take solace in the fact that she is again whole and at peace.
It was Ruth’s wish to be Cremated – there will be a small family service & Celebration of Her Life - at her final resting place.
If you wish to donate in her memory – we know she would appreciate any help to the Humane Society of your choice or the Alzheimer’s and Dementia Society.
