May 8, 1974 - December 28, 2023It is with profound sadness that we announce Sherry’s passing at St. Peter’s Hospital in Hamilton on Dec 28, at the age of 49 after a fierce battle with cancer.
Sherry had said she had some very important people waiting for her, and she certainly does. Her sister Cindy passed in 1971; her precious son Jordan Emanuel born Christmas day 1991 and passed February 1992; and her best friend and beautiful mother Patricia who passed in December 2013.
Sherry leaves behind her sister Brandy Lynn Grundstrom ( Clint ), her grandmother Angeline Ball and step-father Alpheus Cunning.
A long-time resident of Waterloo, Sherry loved spending time with her nieces and nephews and was extremely proud of the young adults they had become. Aunt Sherry to Justyn & Rebecca, Raymond & Glori, Chelsea & Jonathan and Nicholas & Kiana
Sherry will be missed by her aunts and uncles Pauline Gignac, Rachel Gignac & Jerry, Marc Gignac and pretend mom’s ( as she called us) aunt Nina (Anita Reed) and aunt Kathy. Several cousins and second cousins loved her and she followed all of them as family was so important to her. She was more of an older sister to both Amanda and Sarah.
Sherry had reunited with her father Larry and his family a short time before he passed in 2011. She got to know and love her father’s wife Lisa, her half sister Danielle, her aunt Leah and uncle John and all the family from Louisiana and Florida
She will always be remembered for her love of family, her kindness, her huge smile and even bigger heart as well as the bravery and courage she showed during her end of live.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Sherry’s name to the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) Lambton Kent Branch or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
